KZN Athletics Championship: 26-28 March 2021

King Edward High School took 10 athletes to participate in the 26-28 March 2021 KZN Athletics Championships. While we had good weather conditions on day two and three, on day one our athletes had to compete in very wet, rainy conditions. Being the extraordinary athletes they are, they still fared well and produced outstanding results. We want to congratulate all our athletes on their exceptional sportsmanship and performances.

Our results are as follows: Qhayiya Sapo - Gold in Long Jump Boys U16; Tlhabeli Letuka - Bronze in Long Jump Boys U16; Lihle Nontwana - Bronze in Javelin Boys U16; Trevor Mkhathi - Gold in Javelin and Silver in Discus Boys U16; Advocate Matheza - Gold in Discus, Silver in Javelin, Bronze in Hammer Throw Boys U16; Reinard Mulder - Gold in Hammer Throw, Silver in Shot Put and Bronze in Discus Boys U16; Sydney Lombard - Gold in Hammer Throw, Silver in Discus and Javelin Girls U16; and Kamva Nonjiji - Gold in Discus, Silver in Javelin Boys U20.

Extraordinary times have called for, and resulted in, extraordinary performances by our athletes. We are very proud of each one for them, even those who did not receive medals at the competition. Your best is always good enough for us! We want to thank Sondela, Modern Butchery and Brandon Lombard for their generous sponsorships during the Championship. We truly appreciate your support.
