Soccer vs St Monicas & Heritage Day Celebrations
On Thursday, 14 September, our u13 boys’ soccer team played against St Monicas and won 6-0. In total this team played 8 games of which they won 6 and drew 2. They won both tournaments they participated in.
On Thursday, 15 September, our 1st soccer teams played against St Monicas. The girls played the 1st game and set a very high standard from the kick-off. The final score was 8-0 in our favour. The boys played a very competitive match against St Monicas and won 2-1.
On Saturday, 17 September, our u16 and 1st boys soccer teams, as well as our 2nd and 1st girls soccer teams played against St Patrick's College. The 2nd girls team started the day and displayed great resolve to draw 1-1. The u16 boys played a high intensity game throughout and won comfortably 4-0.
The 1st girls soccer team had a difficult start but their “never-say-die” attitude kept them in the game. Ultimately, they lost 4-3, which was the first game the girls have lost this year. We commend them on their commitment and willingness to learn. The final game of the soccer season saw our 1st boys team dominate from the start. The final score was a convincing 4-0 in our favour. It was a fitting end to a highly successful season.
On Saturday, 17 September, we took part in a KZN Athletics primary sub-youth league meeting at Hoërskool Suid-Natal. Our athletes performed very well and brought home eleven 1st places, twelve 2nd places and ten 3rd places.
On Monday, 26 September, we celebrated Heritage Day. We have such a beautiful and diverse heritage and it was displayed with pride and colour.
