KZN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our sporting season is over, with full focus on examinations now. After the constraints of Covid, KEHS has enjoyed excellent sporting success this year. We ended on a high note with a treasure trove of medals at the KZN Athletics Championships.
On Saturday, 5 November, 13 of our athletes participated in the KZN Athletics Championships in a very hot and humid Richards Bay.
Although conditions were tough, our athletes all did their best. We came home with 8 medals; 3 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze:
Khumo Qhu - gold in discus and shotput. Ngcali Matheza - silver in javelin and bronze in discus. Tumelo Tsabo - silver in turbo javelin, 7th in long jump. Luthando Mhxosa - silver in discus, 7th in shot put. Luyanda Shabalala - silver in high jump. Tania Mandiwanzira - gold in discus, 15th in 100m.
Other results: Kiara Laing - 5th in 80m, 5th in 100m, 6th in long jump. Phadi Letseka - 4th in javelin, 4th in discus, 8th in shot put. Thabisa Mdebuka - 6th in high jump, 12th in 100m. Oratiloe Ramabitle - 7th in long jump, 9th in long jump and 100m. Lereko Khufo - 14th in long jump, 22nd in 100m. Oreboloke Moorosi - 4th is discus, 10th in long jump, 16th in 100m. Jayda Vezasie - 5th in discus, 7th in long jump, 7th in shot put. Bothwell Mhlanga - 4th in shot put. Kandro Phillips - 4th in javelin. Sinamava Mbadu - 19th in high jump. Relebohile Rabelemane - 18th in high jump.
