Kokstad College 1st Boys & Girls Soccer Festival
Our senior girls participated in their first 7’s soccer tournament at Kokstad College on Saturday, 18 August. The girls played well but unfortunately just missed out on the final. The girls played 4 games. They won 1, drew 2 and lost 1.
The 1st boy’s team was drawn in a very tough group. They lost their games but did not shy away from the competition. This season has had its ups and down, but they keep on improving and never give up.
U11 & U13 Boys Soccer Tournament
On Saturday, our u/11 and u/13 boys’ soccer teams participated in the Bergview Soccer Tournament. The u/13 boys played very well and beat KJS 3-0 and Cedarville Primary School 1-0, but lost to Bergview 1-0. Our u/11 boys took to the field for the first time this season. They beat Cedarville Primary 1-0, and Bergview 2-0. The boys topped their group and progressed to the finals against St Monica's. At the end of full time the scores were tied at 1-1, forcing the game into a penalty shoot-out which St Monica's won.
Congratulations to Miyolo Mfenyana who was the player of the tournament, as well as the top goal scorer.
