Speech & Drama Festival

King Edward High School learners had the wonderful opportunity of participating in the annual Speech and Drama Association of South Africa’s Festival in Matatiele, from the 5 to 7 September. It is a privilege for the learners to have the opportunity to grow their skill-set that allows them to apply the knowledge that they learn at school, and use their creativity, to perform well in all spheres of their lives. At King Edward High School, it is our mission to prepare the learners to be amicable citizens of the world. With our learners’ dedication to excellence, they obtained thirty A+ and numerous A symbols at the festival which attests to their diligence and hard work. We are proud of all of the participants. Tina Nyembezi and Jené Niehaus’ performances were highly commended and they received invitations to perform their monologues at SADASA’s 20th Bruce Piper Monologue competition in Hilton. King Edward High School would like to thank Focused High School for hosting the festival and for their excellent hospitality.
