Heritage Day
On Tuesday, 26 September, we celebrated Heritage Day at King Edward High School. Celebrating the beauty and colour of our country’s extraordinary heritage is always a highlight. The children did not disappoint and lived up to the expectation of displaying their heritage in ornate and colourful clothing.
Gr 7 Tour
Our Grade 7 learners had the opportunity to go on their highly anticipated annual Grade 7 Tour to the Western Cape. They traveled and explored from 19 to 28 September. They visited landmarks, canoed the Groot-Brak river, snorkelled, conquered the 10km hedge maze at Redberry Farm, ziplined and completed treetop high-ropes at Acrobranch, tenpin bowling at Hartenbos, explored the Cango Caves and Wildlife Ranch, fed the elephants at Knysna Elephant Park, visited Radical Raptors, Adventureland, Hartenbos Waterpark, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. The tour was packed with adventure and many fine memories were made.

SACSSA National Championships
Forty of our athletes represented KZN at the SACSSA National Championships at the Msunduzi Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on 29-30 September. They made us proud and brought home 39 medals; 12 gold, 15 silver and 12 bronze. Congratulations to our athletes, you have outdone yourselves.
