Gr 4 – 6 KEHS Days

Last week our Gr 4 – 6 learners had the opportunity to visit Kranzfontein farm, near Kokstad. Our host, Shane Trollope, welcomed the learners with excitement and enthusiasm. The outing started with a visit to the emu enclosure. The learners were given some fun facts about these wonderful Australian birds. The learners received a brief insight into sheep farming. They saw alpacas, zebras and snakes! Shane gave an amazing educational presentation and the learners got to hold a corn snake. He showed them a puff adder and rinkhals to educate them about the dangers of venom. The learners also enjoyed a picnic, crab catching and paddling in the river. The journey to the farm was an educational and enjoyable experience. Thank you to Shane and Tutu for their hospitality and for making this a valuable outing.
