Spar Fast 5 Netball Challenge

In a display of skill and determination, our 1st Netball team emerged as one of the top contenders at the Spar Fast 5 Netball Challenge held on Saturday. The tournament, hosted by KEHS, featured intense matches as teams battled for supremacy. We opened the challenge with a closely fought victory against Kokstad College, winning 7-6. Our winning streak continued with victories over Bergview (12-5) and Ixopo (17-5). Our momentum persisted with wins against St Thomas (11-3), St Monica’s (11-10), and Mthata (13-6).

However, the competition intensified when we faced a tough challenge from Shayamoya, resulting in a 7-20 loss. Undeterred, our team defeated St Monica’s 14-6 in the semi-finals. In a gripping final, our girls played valiantly but faced a formidable Shayamoya team, ultimately finishing as runners-up after a 6-26 defeat. Our girls demonstrated teamwork and resilience throughout the tournament, reinforcing their strong reputation in school netball. We would like to thank Spar most sincerely for the wonderful initiative and sponsorship.
