Gr 1 KEHS Day
On Tuesday, 28 March, our Grade 1’s enjoyed their KEHS day and had the opportunity to explore the garden of Mr Mendes. They were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to see different animals and the many types of birds in the aviaries. Thereafter they enjoyed a picnic on the school grounds with their peers.

Gr 10 KEHS Day
On the same day, our Grade 10’s were full of excitement as a day of adventure awaited them for their KEHS day. They had been told they would be going on a hike from Ms Höll’s farm to a secret location. They had to navigate their way to a certain location on their own. The starting point of the hike was in a forest near the farm and they were told to beware of snakes. This quickly made the hike more exciting and more daring. Their destination was a massive rock that they all climbed on and witnessed a breath-taking view of Matatiele. They enjoyed a picnic with a picturesque view of Matatiele. It was a great experience and they learnt various teamwork skills. It was definitely a time to remember.

Gr R KEHS Day
Our Grade R class celebrated their KEHS Day on Thursday, 29 March. Their playground was transformed into a fun activity zone where the children could skip, hop, hoola-hoop, kick balls, and enjoy water play. Sensopathic trays were filled with water, and the children could scoop, squirt, sprinkle, or pour! This, of course, was a fantastic way for the children to cool off as well as to learn some valuable skills at the same time. The highlight of the day was the picnic! They neatly spread their blankets and enjoyed a "special” lunch with their friends. Clearly, from the laughs and giggles, it was a great fun filled day enjoyed by all.

Gr 2 KEHS Day
The Grade 2's also had their KEHS day on 29 March. They enjoyed an excursion to Mr Nel's farm. They spent the morning with various farm animals, which included petting a very friendly and tame pig. The highlight of the day was riding saddled horses - for most it was their very first time. A fun filled morning ended after an enjoyable picnic with a beautiful view and a well anticipated Easter egg hunt. We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Nel for giving us this wonderful opportunity to explore their farm and for hosting us so generously.

HS sport vs Amanzimtoti
Our High School sport teams, having played two very difficult fixtures in the weeks leading up to our games against Amanzimtoti, travelled to the coast to be hosted most generously by Amanzimtoti High School on Saturday, 15 April.
The 1st rugby teams were very evenly matched. It was only the sheer will to win and the ever-present “never give up” attitude of the KEHS boys that saw us secure the win 19:15, by scoring two quick tries in the dying minutes of the game. The U14 and U16 rugby boys drew their games, 10 all and 17 all respectively. The U16 hockey girls won convincingly 6:0, while the 1st hockey enjoyed a rampant 5:0 victory. The 1st netball was less successful, losing 17:24. A special mention must be made of the excellent organization and sportsmanship shown by all the Toti sports teams and management.
