Galas
During last week’s heat wave, we were fortunate enough to conduct our Interhouse Gala, JP Fun Gala and SP Interschool’s Gala. The children were delighted! We enjoyed plenty swimming, fun and healthy competition. Graham was the winning house during our Interhouse Gala but Melville took the spirit cup! The following awards were made: Primary School Junior Victrix Ludorum: Niki Enslin; PS Junior Victor Ludorum: Franco Marx; PS Senior Victrix Ludorum: Clinaé Strydom; PS Senior Victor Ludorum: Luvo Mvimbi.
High School Junior Victrix Ludorum: Robyn du Randt; HS Junior Victor Ludorum: John Höll; HS Senior Victrix Ludorum: Sesethu Nangalaza; HS Senior Victor Ludorum: Eugene Kok.
Our Pre-school and JP children thoroughly enjoyed the Fun Gala where they all had the opportunity to swim, whether it was piggyback or on their own. Furthermore, we would like to extend our gratitude to St Patrick’s College for hosting an enjoyable and successful SP Interschool’s Gala on Saturday.
Primary School Cricket
Our Primary School boys enjoyed several cricket matches during last week. Our u/9 Cricket team played their very first hardball match against KJS. KJS batted first and made 81/2. KEHS won the match, scoring 86/2. Our top batsman was Cowan Canham and the best fielder was Zack Meyers. Our u/7 and u/9 boys unfortunately lost their matches to SPC. The u/9 match was particularly exciting with a 5 run winning margin.
SP Tennis vs SPC
Our Senior Primary Tennis team has made good progress this year but lost their match against St Patrick’s College.
