Last week was packed with thrilling sports matches and exciting events at our school. From dominant victories on the sports field to fun-filled evenings of entertainment.
Our SP hockey teams showcased their prowess on the field on Tuesday, securing victories against St. Patrick's. Our u/11B hockey girls, setting the tone for the rest of the matches, delivered a commanding 6-0 victory. Following suit, the u/11A team dominated the field with a convincing 9-1 win. Our u/13 hockey girls showcased their resilience in a closely contested match. Despite facing a tough opponent, they maintained their composure and clinched a 1-0 victory.
1st Hockey team
On Wednesday, the day kicked off with clashes between our u/11 and u/13 rugby and netball teams against St. Patrick’s. In rugby, our u/11 team sealed a remarkable 52-0 win, closely followed by the u/13 team triumphing 53-0. Meanwhile, in netball, the u/11 team secured a hard-fought victory with a final score of 7-5, while the u/13’s faced a narrow defeat with a score of 3-4.
On the same day, our u/16 and 1st hockey teams, along with the 1st netball and rugby teams, faced off against Bergview. It was a dominant display, with the 1st hockey team securing an impressive 8-0 win. The u/16 netball team dominated their opponents with a 28-1 victory, while the 1st netball team showcased their skills with a commanding 47-7 win. The 1st rugby team also put on a stellar performance with a convincing 45-0 win.
1st Rugby vs Bergview
The action continued as our JP hockey and rugby teams went head-to-head with St Patrick’s. The u/7 hockey team set the tone with a 6-0 victory, while the u/9A hockey team followed suit with a solid 4-1 win. However, the u/8 hockey teams faced a tough challenge. Our u/8A hockey team drew 1-1, and the u/8B hockey team succumbed to a 3-0 defeat. In rugby, the u/7 team battled hard but fell short with a final score of 5-35, while the u/9B team delivered an outstanding performance with a well-deserved 40-0 win. Unfortunately, the u/9A team lost 5-25.
Meanwhile, our u/8 rugby teams faced Bergview, with the u/8A and u/8B teams emerging victorious with scores of 10-5 and 25-5, respectively.
In the evening, the SP learners enjoyed a delightful Evening of the Stars, dressing up and showcasing their dancing skills. Meanwhile, the JP learners had a cozy and fun-filled movie night.
Overall, it was a week filled with outstanding sporting achievements and enjoyable events, highlighting the talent and spirit of our school community.
